Candles in the windows (electric)

MONDAY  DEC 3  Night
BIG SNOW today.  Well, first real snow.  Called a N’oreaster on tv but very gentle here, maybe 4-5 inches so far by evening.  Pretty much over.  Latte came back the other night.  About 9:30 that evening Virginia heard some scratching at the mud room door in the garage and sure enough there she was.  I had put some canned salmon in a dish in the garage.  It was gone, so perhaps it helped lure her back.  She seemed cold and anxious but not as dirty as she was when she had been gone three days a year or so ago in the summer. So she was out from maybe 4-5 am to 9pm.  Long enough to check the neighborhood and see that everything was ok.  Probably just curled up somewhere since that was a day of fierce winds.  Winds preceded the snow. that came last night & today.  We started decorating the house today—cleared the mantle and put out the Advent Calendar.  We finished watching “Curse of the Golden Flower,” sumptuous Chinese palace drama.
