the last painting–16′ x 10′

IMG_1183

I’m getting ready to close down the studio I’ve used for about ten years now and conscious as I use up the last big pieces of canvas that each painting is the “last” to be made in this location.  This is big—16 feet by 10—two sheets of composition board–forget the accurate name for it–that have served as a wall sized “easel” for these years.  Love the way it looks now—wish I had a collector or some such big money person who would buy it —for, say, 20k or such. Ha.  Dream on.  Dreams and fantasies–maybe they are what we live for.  Supreme fictions as Wallace Stevens put it as well as any one has.
